Competitive & Entrance Exams After 2nd PUC (Karnataka)

After completing 2nd PUC (Class 12) in Karnataka, students have multiple pathways in Engineering, Medical, Law, Commerce, Defense, Design, Hospitality, and Government Jobs. Admissions are based on state-level and national-level entrance examinations conducted between January and June each year.

1.KCET 2026 Exam Update

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 for engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses is scheduled for April 23 and 24, 2026, with the Kannada language test on April 22. The offline exam is conducted by KEA in two daily shifts (10:30 AM–11:50 AM and 2:30 PM–3:50 PM), featuring 60 MCQ questions per subject (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) with no negative marking. 

  • Eligibility:Candidates must have passed or be appearing for 2nd PUC/12th standard (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) for engineering or Biology for other courses.
  • Exam Pattern: 240 total marks (60 per subject) in a pen-and-paper format.
  • Admit Card: Expected to be released on April 10, 2026, or May 1st based on reports.
  • Results & Counselling: Results are expected by June 30, 2026, followed by seat allotment.

2.COMEDK UGET 2026 Exam Update

The COMEDK UGET 2026  exam is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, with online registration running from February 3 to March 16, 2026, for admissions to engineering colleges in Karnataka; candidates must apply online at comedk.org and meet eligibility criteria for Physics, Chemistry, and Math subjects, followed by centralized counselling.

3. JEE MAIN 2026 Exam Update

The JEE Main 2026 exams are underway, with Session 1 (B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Planning) held from January 21-29, 2026, and Session 2 scheduled for April 2-9, 2026, both conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Key dates include the Session 1 City Intimation Slip (Jan 8), Admit Card Release (Jan 17 for early dates, Jan 24 for later dates), and results expected by February 12 for Session 1. Registration for Session 2 opens late January/early February.

4.JEE ADVANCED 2026 Exam Update

JEE Advanced 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2026, organized by IIT Roorkee. It's a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with two compulsory 3-hour papers (Paper 1: 9 AM-12 PM, Paper 2: 2:30 PM-5:30 PM) covering Physics, Chemistry, & Math from Class 11 & 12. Eligibility requires being in the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main 2026 candidates, and registration starts in April 2026 after JEE Main results.

6. MET 2026 Exam Update

The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2026 Phase 1 is scheduled for April 13-14, 2026, and Phase 2 will take place on May 23-24, 2026, with registration for Phase 1 closing on March 15, 2026, and Phase 2 application opening in late April. These dates are for the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) entrance exam, covering UG/PG programs.

7. VITEEE 2026 Exam Update

The VITEEE 2026 exam for B.Tech admission is scheduled for April 28 – May 3, 2026, with applications open from October 24, 2025, until the last date of March 31, 2026. The computer-based test covers Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology, Aptitude, and English. Registration is online, and the fee is ₹1350.

🧑‍⚕️Medical & Allied Health Sciences Entrance Exams

1.NEET UG 2026 Exam Update

NEET UG 2026 exam is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct this pen-and-paper exam for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses. Registration is expected to begin in February 2026. The syllabus is based on 10+2, and there is no maximum age limit, though candidates must be 17 years old by Dec 31, 2026.

2. KCET 2026 (Pharmacy/Agriculture/Veterinary) Exam Update

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 is a state-level exam for admission to Pharmacy, Agriculture, Veterinary, and Engineering courses, conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The exam is scheduled for April 22nd–24th, 2026, requiring a Class 12 pass (PCM/PCB) for eligibility. Applications are expected to open in early 2026 on kea.kar.nic.in.

1.NLSAT 2026 Exam Update

The National Law School Admissions Test (NLSAT) 2026 is scheduled for April 26, 2026 (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM) for admission to the 3-year LLB (Hons) programme at NLSIU Bengaluru. Registration opened on November 15, 2025, with a final deadline of March 23, 2026. The exam consists of two parts: Part A (objective) and Part B (subjective), covering aptitude and legal reasoning.
