UG Entrance Exam

"UG" stands for Undergraduate. A UG entrance exam is a competitive test you take after finishing high school (12th Grade/2nd PUC) to get into a college degree program (like a B.E., B.Tech, or B.Sc).

In Karnataka, these exams serve three main purposes:

1.    Selection: Since popular colleges have limited seats and thousands of applicants, the exam score acts as a filter to decide who gets in.

2.    Merit Ranking: Your marks are used to give you a "Rank." A higher rank gives you the first choice of top colleges and better branches (like Computer Science).

PG Entrance Exam
