Sarada Vilas PU College
Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions established in 1861, with the blessings of His Highness Mummadi Sri. Krishnaraja Wodeyar, the then ruler of Mysore state who laid the foundation to an educational institution in the core of Mysore city so as to make the town a center for education. It has been more than 160 years since the institution came into being. It has maintained the quality of education for decades now. It is commendable that the institution has adhered to its vision of working for the welfare of society via quality education. Sarada Vilas College was established in the year 1945 with Sri M.S. Ramaswamy as its founder principal. It was upgraded and began to offer Science degree course in the year 1952. The Institution expanded its activities further by starting a Law College in 1954, Girls High School in 1961, Teachers’ College in 1963, Pharmacy College and Sarada Vilas Preprimary school as well in 1992.
