JSS PU College Ooty Road
JSS PU College was begun in the year 1964-65 By His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Shri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, with a noble motive of providing education to the rural and economically backward students.
The college also has conducive atmosphere for sports and cultural activities. It has a well-maintained playground and a well-equipped National Level Basketball Court. Students have brought laurels to the college in games, multi-gym, sports, debate and music at Intercollege and University Level events. The college has one NCC wing and two NSS units, the volunteers of which have participated in State and National Level Camps. The college has successfully organized National and State Level Seminars, Workshops, Conferences and Symposia. It is modest in realizing that what has been achieved up to now is only a beginning. Under the spiritual guidance of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, the present pontiff of Suttur Math, the institution is desirous of scaling new heights in days to come. The entire spectrum of management, faculty, staff and students are committed to put in their best to make this dream come true.
